15th Anniversary New York City FIRST Competition & Expo


New York City FIRST® (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) along with over 200 robotics teams from the New York tri-state area, Brazil, China, Turkey and the United Kingdom will compete, with winning teams advancing to the global competition.

The FIRST Expo brings three intense robotics competitions under one roof. Watch as FIRST Robotics Competition, FIRST Tech Challenge, and FIRST LEGO® League student teams compete to win the regional competition and for a chance to go onto the global competition. Also, join us for a career fair, where you will be able to talk to college representatives and fortune companies about careers in technology.

80 middle school teams of technological innovators, exploring the cutting-edge world of Biomedical Engineering selected from among 190 teams across the City at borough qualifying tournaments.

Take any train stopping at 34th  - MADISON SQUARE STATION Stop – and walk West two blocks or take the crosstown bus to Jacobs Javits ( ticket is $2.50 and transfer to bus is free with your subway card).

There is no parking at the Javits Center.  However, there are a variety of lots open nearby, ranging from 24-hour, 7-days a week, to more limited service. If you have any questions make sure to call ahead.
